John Stewart (33) (1949–)

John Stewart has been campaigning on transport and environment issues for 30 years. He is a former Chair of Transport 2000 and of the road victim charity RoadPeace. He currently chairs the UK Noise Association and is a Vice Chair of UECNA, the European body that represents airport campaign groups. show more He headed up the coalition that defeated plans for a third runway at Heathrow Airport. In 2008 he was voted the UK's most effective environmentalist by the Independent on Sunday. For the three years 2008-2011 the Evening Standard nominated him as one of London's 1000 most influential people. show less
