Gotta say, even though Zack Snyder takes a lot of heat for his movies, Watchmen included, seeing the obsessive detail he put into every second of this movie is actually fascinating, and heartening. My guess is, no comic-originated movie ever had such devotion to the source material.
Love or hate the movie, it's an interesting look into the work that went into the film, including original Watchmen artist, Dave Gibbons, drawing out the revised ending so Snyder would have the same reference show more points for new material. show less

This book has a lot of great pictures from the film and not a lot of text to clutter it up. The early concept designs for the various costumes were especially fascinating (I loved Adrian's "Alexander the Great" themed one), as were the posters (I really wish they'd used the "no more masks" poster design, since I like it more than all of the official posters).
This is a good resource about the film version of Watchmen, although some of the time lines don't match at all (for example, the graphic novel says that Walter Kovacs was born in 1940, the film companion says he was born in 1942, and the movie says he was 35 in 1985, which makes him born in 1950).
