A good introduction to a radical idea: that eating dramatically less calories will extend your life. I think the book could have done a better job of delving into the research that explaims why this works - but I apprecaited the premise and the suggestions, which are in harmony with much I have read of late on diet and health - and certainly in accordance with my doctor.
Light weight description of the Longevity (aka Calorie Restriction with Optimal Nutrition Diet). OK for beginners, but not a as good as Walford's "120 year diet." Lots of anecdotal experience.
