This movie out-Hallmarks Hallmark. The characters are hot, tender, feisty, funny, touching. It is an amazing movie in scenery, music and of course the script. I just can't stop laughing when I see Declan's facial expressions ! You HAVE to see this movie. A+++++
In addition to the movie, I watched the featurette, about the making of the movie, where I could see the passion behind making the movie. Still, the movie did not make an impact on me. It is a story about sisters. It is a lot of snapshots of their lives, and just enough to get a sense of what happened. More like an intellectual story. Not enough, for me, to feel the experiences of the characters or to feel for them or to enjoy this as a character study. After checking Wikipedia, this is not show more supposed to be a true story, and so, like many movies about real people, the movie is essentially fiction and could be about any sisters. What happens to one sister is tragic, and the movie isn't really about that, either. It's just a thing that happened. As for the storytelling, I think that was the weakest part. The beginning and end of the movie, designed to tie together, did not make sense to me at all, and tried to add maybe a mystical or mysterious element, which was just strange. The acting was wonderful. The cinematography is fine. The production / set / costume design was wonderful.
