This was cute, I guess, but I felt bad for all the other little lambs that they weren't as fuzzy as Little Lamb.
I can imagine the appeal of the touchable bears... but the girl's fur ruff should be touchable, too.... Also, since when would a bear make friends with a seal? Seals are to eat. Just, no, skip it.
A lovely book in muted whites and blues. I think that it's appeal lies in the fact that on each of the pages, the bears are slightly textured and that the protagonists are bears and there are also fish involved - animals that a lot of toddlers recognise early on and that they often quickly learn the words for. It's a very sweet book.
I like the story and the message: "Everyone has a different family, and everyone gets the family that's right for them." Obviously not always true, but I think it's kind of nice for kids to feel like it is. I also like the appearance of otters.
