A friend recommended Human Frontiers, and I got to about 1/3 way through. It had interesting ideas, but was poorly written. It was about The Great Stagnation of new ideas in this century., a subject that intrigued me. But I often couldn’t understand it, because of unclear writing. It introduced me to public intellectuals I didn’t know, many I enjoyed looking them up in Wiki and elsewhere, which was more interesting than what the author has to say. I kept falling asleep over the page.
