Martin Brown earned a B.A. degree in journalism from Northwestern University and started his career working for the Chicago Tribune and Gamma-Liaison Photo Agency. Today he is a widely published commercial and location photographer from Bangor. His still photography extends beyond the outdoors with assignments ranging from corporate to national editorial coverage. Print credits include L.L. Bean, Georgia-Pacific Corp, Firestone, Volvo, Time-Life Books, U.S. News & World Report, Downeast, Travel & Leisure, and Men's Journal. Lifetime Member of ASMP - for over 40 years. A Master Maine Guide since 1970, much of Brown's work focuses on his home state of Maine. In 2009 he was awarded the Maine Governors Special Award for Tourism in recognition of many years effectively promoting Maine as a destination. Brown is also leading specialist in international wilderness river expeditions since 1973. His critically acclaimed black & white photography book, A Maine ‘Deeper In', was published in [sic]
