Yet another hit
Whenever I am needing a pick me up book that is the perfect balance of humor, angst, and swoon-worthy moments I know this author will not disappoint. There is always just enough zaniness, laugh out loud moments, and heat that it will keep me on my toes. Add in the fact that there is also a little nugget of wisdom and her stories become magic.
It has been a long time since she wrote a character that has rivaled Tucker (My Best Friend's Ex) until Roark which in and of itself says show more something because this author can create some amazing book boyfriends. However, move over Tucker because Roark has the number one spot now. Brooding, standoffish, and aloof from outward appearances juxtaposed with misunderstood, loving, and devoted on the inside. Sutton was delightful and transformed from shy and sweet to sultry vixen in this one. I loved that they became each other's yin and yang.
I was pretty upset with how a certain event happened in this story and even cussed this author out a few times. However, she did make my heart feel better in the end. Thank goodness because I would not have been happy with Roark not getting his happily ever after because he sure deserved it.
The diary entries were hilarious. I loved the growth in them as they showed how it does help in the grand scheme of things. This book is another fantastic book and cements her status as one of my favorite unicorn authors of all time. I CANNOT wait to read Rath's book and hopefully Maggie gets one too! show less

This was my first book that I had read by Meghan. It started me on my journey of version of "Netflix and Chill" only this time it was Binge reading all of her works. All I kept telling myself was, "Please don't be a one hit wonder." And she wasn't. This book made me ugly cry. SERIOUS UGLY CRY. It also made me hope and made my jaded heart believe in love again. It healed me in ways that I didn't even know I needed. It still is a part of me almost a year later. I meant to write this review show more when I read it but I needed time to process it. I was left RAW. I told everyone about it. I play video games online and I even chatted about it in game rather than talk about the game.
This book is about four different people and their story and how they all end up interacting.
“Four lives. Four stories. Four sets of letters. Four brave souls in need of guidance while facing life’s greatest challenges.”
Hollyn is grieving the death of her husband and trying to make sense why he was taken from her. She wrecked me. I had to walk away a couple times after setting my kindle down because my heart hurt for her so much.
Jace is dealing with a different type of loss and holy hell will it sock you in the gut. How do you do what is right even if it doesn't feel right and comes with so much guilt? Probably one of my favorite characters of any of her books.
Daisy is a naive girl trying to step out of her shell and grow. This group meeting is for her to grow through her letters and learn to live.
Carter at first was my least favorite in this book. I didn't understand his anger or why he was truly there if he wasn't going to apply himself to learn to grow, As the book went on it all made sense and then I hurt for him and wanted him to find his happiness.
I could go on and on about this book but I recommend just reading it. It will change you, even if you don't think you need to change. This book was sublime bliss. show less

As usual, this author brought her A-Game with this book. She took a pretty common trope, Marrying in Vegas, and turned it upside down, thus, making it unique and flirty.
I loved the characters so much. This felt like a merging of Big Bang Theory and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Pranks, humor, chemistry galore, and the perfect balance of romance made me fall in love with Cora and Pike. Great cameo appearances as well as a hint of what is to come.
My only issue was about the father. I show more just wanted that to be a little more fleshed out. This is one of my favorite books that she has written. show less

Every time I see a new book by this author I do a little happy dance and celebrate. It is truly a Festivus miracle. I never know if it will be a one filled with snarky humor that has me laughing out loud or if it will be one that tears out my soul and has me ugly crying since she has been known to do both. In true fashion, this author has done it again and created a whole new style of a book as this is neither of those. Instead, it is one that is slow burning and poignant. The anticipation show more and build up in the relationship between Colby and Rory are perfect I do not think that it could have worked any other way. It is an old-fashioned romance filled with love letters and old-fashioned wooing set in modern times.
Colby. Good Lord. This man needs and deserves love more than any other hero I think that this author has written. Rory. So persistent and with a such a beautiful soul. Together they are perfect for each other.
This book ends on a WHOPPER of a cliffhanger. I am thankful that this author won't make me months to release the sequel as I NEED answers. show less
