Some funny (when listing what some customers come in to ask for) and nostalgic moments, but for the most part this is a depressing (although interesting) account of why UK record shops have been disappearing over the last few years. Particularly revealing on how hyping affected the UK music charts - you feel sorry for the retailers and the musicians but it's impossible to feel any sympathy for the greedy record labels and as a music fan it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. Not the best show more book ever written and it could have done with some more judicious editing which drops it from a four to a three out of five read. show less
