I'm an Ineffable Dom. That just means, do yourself a favor and please don't try to describe me or fit me into your categories. Complicated Dom, Intricate Dom, Confounding Dom work too.

I love very much the soft side of a woman. Not just her body, but everything on the inside-- her passion, her intelligence, her convictions, her delicate tenderness. But the one fetish that might be a part of what makes me an Ineffable Dom is that I love her strengths. I love a woman that isn’t afraid to look me in the eyes and say ‘make me’. But I need it to be real, not staged, not pretended. She has to be a fighter at her core the way I’m a Dom at my core. I want an equal that is willing to come hard against me in every sense of the word, exhaust me. I want her so deep inside me that we’re lost in each other. I want her to never doubt that I will always use my power to adore her, protect her, liberate her. I don’t want a woman I can break, or overpower, or exercise my dominance over, I want a woman I can come undone with. I want a woman I can jump off the cliff with into that abyss of holy hell, this is beyond me, beyond my control. The greatest fear of most people is losing themselves or unravelling their roots. My greatest fear is not finding a woman I can take that plunge with. Yes, it’s a huge risk. That’s the yin and the yang of it. And while the risk titillates my Dom, it’s the ineffable fruit of that risk that moves him. He knows he has to have it. He knows he’s supposed to have. And he’s prepared to dominate for it.

I think there are many men like myself, and I hope my writing will be a map for them. A map for women as well, to let them know Doms like this exist. I’d like to call them out of the woodwork. Help men join with their natural inner Doms in a way that I think is one of the most fulfilling experiences there are. I want to challenge them all to go for the complete power exchange with a woman, but don’t be a coward and not give the same that they demand or expect. And consider that when you give one hundred percent of yourself to a person, there is no more of you to give away. You now belong to them the way they belong to you.

Inner Doms are dogs that need a master to train them. I once bowed to my Dom's reckless and tireless desires, but when I gained control, he bowed to my will. The transformation made me into what I am today. What many would call an Ineffable Dom. But its equal term in the Vanilla world, in my opinion, is a real man.

Every book I read of Lucian Bane's just makes me love his writing and creativity even more. The Eveque, the second book in his Lousiana Bayou Bishops MC just blew me away. It starts off where the last book's cliffhanger left us. In a way, his book is about two couples. The Bishop or The Eveque and his Bella Eveque Beth. And Beth's sister Maggie and Spook the leader of the tracking & survival hatch.
Bishop is still trying to figure out how to keep Beth from becoming his right hand in The show more Twelve since they are going to war and doesn't want her touched by it in any way but also wants to follow the code that says she has to choose what she wants for herself. Since he knows she's going to choose to be his right-hand he proposes the make The Gauntlet more complicated for her as a way to make her fail even though she can keep taking it until she passes. This leads to him and his Mah-Mah wanting to change things up with the code. But we all know Mah-Mah is on Beth's side and not Bishops so what kind of plan does she come up with? When Bishop gave Beth some tasks to complete he didn't realize what he did. Beth has to make Katrina pull her weight around the farm and do some work. When she refuses Beth challenges her to a Bat-tie (a fight) for it. Bishop is out of his mind with worry cause Beth is his angel and he knows how dirty his ex-wife Katrina can be. I can't wait to see who wins that one!
Bishop and Beth brought Maggie back to the swamp from the mental hospital she's been in since she was 7 and kidnapped in the Bayou. She's mute and throws temper tantrums like a child even though she's almost 30 due to the trauma she's been through that no one knows about. She doesn't like Bishop because he has her Beth and she wants Beth to herself since it's been so long. But in walks Spook who is staying near her place to help her if she needs anything. They have an instant connection and he gets Maggie to talk. He even takes her out in the woods to teach her survival and defense skills to help her be more confident in herself. Their connection does nothing but gets stronger. When they first meet the dynamic between them is hilarious. I laughed so hard when she tried to get him to explain his celibacy cause she didn't understand it. As the story moved on and The Revelator showed up things got a little serious. Turns out Maggie has a gift. And it can be either good or bad we will have to see.
I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 5 spicy rating cause it's off the charts steamy. This is the first book I've read that has dual relationships in it as it does and I love it. It seems that's going to be the theme of the series. It was left on a cliffhanger pertaining to The Revelator and his book is next. I definitely recommend starting with the 1st book in the series if you are interested in reading this one so that you'll understand what's going on. But this book could be for anyone who loves to read a dark romance with twists and turns throughout.

WOW! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I finished reading Butterfly & Kult, the 5th book in Lucian Bane's Royal Bastards MC: Newark, NJ series. This book had me feeling it all. I was happy, excited, sad, and pissed off throughout the book. A lot of the questions I've had since the beginning of the series got answered and I'm glad I was right about a few but it also led me to have so many more questions. I haven't been this invested in a book and its characters in a long time. show more Normally I wouldn't read a book like this since AI doesn't interest me at all but I'm so glad I gave it a chance or I'd really be missing out not just on this series but the others I've read by Lucian Bane since.
In this book, things come to a head with Butterfly and the guys. They all know she can't be with all of them, it would never make any of them happy and a couple of them haven't made the connection to her that the rest have. Since Quantum entered the picture the guys have been worried and even jealous in Kult's case. All of them except Harlow know they can't trust him yet and some have a feeling he and Harlow are hiding something big from them, which they are. While Butterfly is being broken from the guilt she feels 2 new ladies enter our story. Mary who is a boutique owner unwillingly being used by the same people who are after Butterfly and the guys. Since she's seen them when Butterfly needed to shop for clothes Kult knew they had to imprison her so she wouldn't talk. But is it really imprisonment when you want to be there? Then we have Anna who is a nun that reached out to Levi to get in touch with Augustine. She's known him since he was 16 and helped him escape the orphanage he was in. Both of these ladies are going to stir things up and ultimately lead God to show Butterfly who she's meant to be with. And thanks to Mary we get to meet the monsters -Fetch, Fathom, & Fin -that live in Kult's head finally, the ones that make him who he is while protecting him from the trauma of his childhood.
I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. I was captured by this story from the 1st chapter and didn't want to put it down. I was even highly upset when it ended because I needed more, I wasn't ready to be done. We only find out what the future of a couple of characters is but not the others. I'm hoping that we learn about the rest of them in the spin-off series Quantum Kings that's coming out soon. This series has to be read in order because they are all left on cliffhangers. The series is definitely full of triggers and a dark romance but I highly recommend it if you like to read dark romances or thriller romances. I can't wait for this story to continue. I'm definitely not done with these characters and hope Lucian gives us a lot more!

Well, hot damn! That was a FRESH and wonderfully crafted tale. I had to spend a few days to formulate my thoughts on this one, figuring out how to put into words the FEELINGS marked into my heart and seeped into my soul after travelling in, and then out, of Poe’s universe. What sort of book was this? Well, it’s a mix of fantasy, adventure, and a sprinkling of romance thrown in as a wonderful and unexpected surprise.

If you love a good fantasy, and a story where the boundaries between show more worlds collide, then this is the take-me-away-adventure for you. The story reminds me of children walking through a wardrobe and stumbling into a magical world where a lion is king, of a precious girl sliding down a rabbit hole where nothing is what it seems, or a land where the magic of dreams comes alive for a boy and his flying ‘dog?’

In the Scribbler Guardian, heroes are front and center and the villains are very real, and oh so malevolent, yet understated in such a way as to make them even more vile. Such vibrant characters come to life in this book, it makes you stop … PAUSE … and go ‘Wait…could this in fact be real?’ Is it happening now?

That is the true wonder behind the gifted storytelling on these pages … The magic of this book is once you’re a few chapters in, you may just begin to believe the very premise behind the entire captivating world. As a novelist myself, I know I will never again write the same way again. The characters speaking to me to write their stories have always been alive to me, but now they have a home…PRECISELY BECAUSE OF THIS BOOK! They are ALIVE and BREATHE within the world of Octava.

So, let’s talk about some of those characters…

Let’s speak about Jeremiah Poe, the Master Muse Rider, a character who remains true to his Scribbler’s incarnation from beginning to end, and yet even then is capable of an intensity of growth and self-expression. He is a protector, a badass in his creation, he takes his role seriously, and endowed with the physical attributes of an alpha male, imbued with incredibly powerful sex appeal…an unexpected side effect of his Scribbler when he was created. Poe tackles his task with a single-minded determination, never once wavering from his goal, even when faced with an impossible and unwanted ending. He defends those weaker than himself, and it is in his interactions with the supporting characters where we see the soul created for Jeremiah Poe truly shine. His innocence is real. His sexiness is off the charts hot. The combination makes for some seriously explosive scenes.

Jeremiah Poe had me in awe from page one through the end, and yet there was another who stole the show from time to time. Kane, a cute and amazing genius-child from the Horror Province, brings all of Poe’s protective instincts to the forefront. When Poe learns Kane is experiencing true, horrific acts within his story, pain that shouldn’t be real in Octava, Poe is led on a journey to save this wonderful child.

The journey Poe and Kane take leads them directly to Poe’s creator, his Scribbler, a god-like figure who he reveres. Charlotte, a wonderfully funny and flawed woman, has one thing in common with the character she created but never finished writing. They both hate the messiness of romance… which sets up a wonderful romantic subplot to follow. For a woman who despises all things feminine and a man who believes love is a contagion, the path the two of them travel is wonderfully creative and magnificent, and steamy, dreamy, hot.

And, yet, there is a bad guy out there…and Poe is on a quest, one he cannot accomplish without the aid of Kane. Charlotte helps too; assisting Poe and Kane in their search, she navigates the foreign landscape of Earth. The three of them work together…most of the time.

The Scribbler Guardian has something for everyone … Fantasy … Adventure … Romance … Humor … a touch of Horror … and tons of fun. I felt transported into another realm. The kid in me enjoyed the fantasy. The hopeless romantic fawned over the steamy alpha male, and the action adventurer cheered the team closer to the final goal…

I would highly recommend this FIVE STAR book!

The king of cliffhangers Lucian Bane does it again in Bayou Bat Maiden the 9th book in the Bayou Bishops MC series. It was full of tension, drama, and dominance for a quick read. This book starts right from where the last ended with Felix and Nitro being the center of this story.

"You'll do as your told and show submission. Just so happens my biggest fantasy is making you take everything I want to give." That quote from the book sums it up very nicely. Felix is trying to stop Nitro from show more making her leave her bird sanctuary and jealous of all the women that choose him for the swamp ball. Nitro has found out things from Felix's past, some she doesn't even know yet I'm sure. After Nitro finds out she's in trouble, he makes it his mission to keep her, even locking her up, which he does. He's determined to marry her. I would have said that was the wrong move to make but it was the best Nitro could have made. It allowed Felix to get closer to him, wanting to choose him, and even wanting to call off the bat-tie she challenged him in. But Nitro still has ulterior motives for that. He wants to see what her bats can do. The 120 generals that control her 25,000 bats in the bayou! That's a lot of bats and I want to see what they can do too.

I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. This book did not disappoint at all I wish that it would have had the bat-tie in it though. Nitro is naturally dominant and shows it very well in this book with Felix. With Nitro pulling out of the swamp ball and Bishop having other ideas for the bat-tie to use against their enemies there's no telling what is going to happen in Nitro book 10 of the series out next!
