I liked this very real struggle with weight loss amid the pressures of American thinness and especially the media. Felt Courtney was very real in addressing the other struggles in life and how they related to her desire to loss weight. Life doesn't have a happy ending all the time and women need to realise the role the other stuff plays.
An honest account of dealing with emotional eating, weight gain and the struggle to get to a healthy weight.
I was frustrated by the ending, as I didn't feel the author had progressed very far in dealing with the reasons she was binge eating.

She writes well and although I have never binged I could relate to so much. Agree with other reviewer that the ending is disappointing. I still find it difficult to believe that someone can run marathons and still have a weight problem. Bit depressing for the rest of us who think we deserve a glass of wine after 10 minutes on an exercise cycle.
