Teacher I Want to Date: An Opposites Attract Romance (The Brisken Billionaire Brothers Book 3) by Mia Kayla
3.5 stars
From the moment I read the synopsis for Teacher I Want to Date, I knew I had to read this book. Thanks Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I had loads of fun reading this book. I laughed for most of it. There were a few teary eyed and steamy moments, which, were strategically placed, resulting in a balanced read.
The characters were such a hoot. Their actions had me grinning from ear to ear. Mason and Gabby were complete opposites, but were show more perfect for each other. Imagine a straight-laced, health nut and a neat freak who lacks spontaneity with someone who is spontaneous, outgoing and loves chaos. You are probably saying there goes a recipe for disaster, but these two made it work. I liked their initial meeting, which was hilarious. That scene will remain with me for a long time.
As much as I enjoyed the humour, I was glad to see that the story was built on more. The romance was cute even though I found its development fast for my tastes. Mason and Gabby are both recovering from a breakup, with Gabby’s own being the most painful. Her choice in men was questionable, so you can imagine she had trust issues, which proved a hindrance in their budding relationship. In addition, Mason had his own share of issues, which threatened to end what he had with Gabby.
I enjoyed the family dynamics featured in the story. Gabby had a large family compared to Mason. Despite the difference in the size of their families, their interactions were loving, loyal, protective and jovial.
Conclusion / Recommendation
Overall, I found the story to be fun and cute. This book works well as a stand-alone, but I would love to read the stories for Mason’s brothers. If you enjoy romantic comedy, you may want to pick up Teacher I Want to Date. show less

This was such a fun and great read. Jordan is a Hollywood actor and beyond famous, his family means a lot to him so when they ask something of him, he listens. So, when his brother Cade who is dating Christene’s sister Angie, tells him to stay away from Christene, he listens or tries to anyways. Christene is a hardworking, feisty woman who knows what she wants and what she wants to stay away from. Her attraction to Jordan is something she wants to play off and ignore after being hurt in show more the past by her ex and Jordan is still suffering from his past and his ex, so they both try so hard to fight whatever they feel towards each other. Once they decide that there is more to them being together than just attraction they go full force into a relationship, but Tene still has her doubts that he isn’t over his ex and she doesn’t want to come in second to anyone even a ghost. Throw in some stalker drama and Tene’s protective side comes out she doesn’t care she is the target she wants Jordan to be safe and he just wants her and her to be safe. These two were so cute together and I loved how he was protective of her and tried to help her relationship with her mother. This book had a lot of twists towards the end and I was shocked when we found out the truth behind all the stalking and threats made to Tene. I’m so glad that Tene let go of her insecurities and decided that life is too short not to trust and love full heartedly. I also loved that even thought their relationship escalated quickly they had their reasons for moving fast and not wasting time to be together forever. A great and hilarious read and lord the lines Jordan threw at Tene had me dying especially the one about her being born on a farm, lol. show less
Such a cute and fun read that I could not put it down, but I didn’t want it to end either. Connor and Charlie met in an unusual way as she starts her first day with Colby Chocolates. Charlie has no clue who Connor is so she proceeds to tell him why she doesn’t even like chocolate and the chocolates that Colby makes are not that great. Connor finds her to be a breath of fresh air as he is trying help his family revamp their company. These two had the perfect chemistry and banter. On show more second, I was hurting for the pain that they both felt they endured by family members and then the next second I was laughing so hard at something crazy that would happen. Although they were extremely attracted to each other they fought it and fought it hard because Charlie doesn’t do flings and Connor doesn’t want to stay in Chicago longer than he needs to. I loved everything about this book, and it drew me in from the beginning. show less
Angelica thinks she's living the life she wants for herself. Her future is all planned out right down to how many kids she wants. But then she meets Cade and everything that she's been turning a blind eye to is suddenly staring her right in the face. I really loved that Cade gives her the space to make her own decisions and come to her own conclusions. But his own insecurities get the better of him when Angelica she gets unknowingly entangled in people's webs. Talk about overbearing mothers show more and 'can't take no for an answer' boyfriends. And what I loved about Angelica is that she didn't let things slide with Cade. She fought for him, tooth and nail. At the end, they do get the hapilly ever after they truly deserve.
