Dennis Waring

This is a fun book, both to simply read through and to build from. Even if you don't build the instruments, there are a lot of nice hints and techniques shown for any woodworker to make use of.
Some of the projects could use a bit more explanation, but the complex ones at the end of the book are very well documented. I recently completed making the mountain dulcimer shown in the book, although with a simpler soundbox.
If you've got any interest at all in making musical instruments, this is a show more good book to pick up. show less

An interesting overview of drum making with lots of pictures of different kinds of drums. The instructions are not very clear and the photographs are kind of small, so it is hard to use it for any actual building.
