No, no, no!
Get ready for lots of laughter and giggles.
If you are offered a giant ice cream sundae covered with delicious toppings, would you say no? Of if you were invited to a great beach party in Hawaii, that included swimming with dolphins, and possibly getting a million dollars, would you say no to that? Wouldn’t you like to know what it would take to get you to allow something really gross to happen? Well, Mr. Fox could get you to do it.
Find out his secret inside this book.
Not only show more will you find that answer, there are other fun things waiting to be discovered. Since this is another amazing story from David LaRochelle, be ready to smile ear-to-ear. Do not be surprised if little ones to want to play their own game of no.
I highly recommend this over-sized, five-plus star, picture book. It checks all the boxes for a great story: colorful illustrations, attention grabbing ideas, and gives a good time. Children three-to-seven-years-old will enjoy this. Now run, don’t walk, to get your copy.
Thank you, Candlewick Books, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own. show less

First sentence: Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Step right up for a battle of wits and test your brain with my nearly impossible Game of "No!" Here's how it works: Every time I ask a question, you have to say "NO!" If you accidentally say "YES," then you have to go all the way back to the beginning of this book and start over. Are you ready to play?
Premise/plot: Perhaps not necessary after that first paragraph, but I'll give it a go. Mr. Fox playfully teases young readers with a fun, silly game. [It show more has the same vibes of Simon Says.] Through a series of questions, readers may be tempted to say yes...
My thoughts: I enjoyed this one. I do think it would be a playful book to read aloud with little ones. It does invite audience participation, if you will, so a group setting might be a good fit. Definitely reads younger and not older. show less

Great visual story telling although I feel like the ending sends an iffy message. Only the word Moo and the pictures are used to tell the story.
The book "Dad's First Day" is a picture book about how parents and kids feel about the first day of school. I liked this book. I felt that the illustrations were colorful and the change in font sizes and boldness kept the reader engaged. The book was also funny. The picture and language were clever and funny which rendered the book more interesting then I would have anticipated. The overall message of this book is that all a parent wants for their child is for he/she to be happy.
