This is a wonderful collection of photographs, artwork, caricatures, inter alia that document the life and work of the great composer/conductor Gustav Mahler. They were compiled by Gilbert Kaplan, the well known Mahler aficionado. He is not a professional musician, working on Wall Street, who is most famous for being inspired by Mahler's 2nd symphony ("Resurrection") to learn the art of conducting, subsequently leading over 200 performances of this masterpiece.
