True, the book is not perfect (see some flaming comments on Amazon). But the way it's presented is hitting the sore spot every time. It puts words where it's painful, where we won't willingly tiptoe in.

If you find yourself at a crossroad BEFORE an adoption (birth parent, adopting parent etc), you should definitely read the book.
If the adoption is already part of your past, you might find it didn't happen as well as in the book, yet, you should definitely write down your questions, thoughts show more and comments, and join a support group for birth mothers - and TALK about it. show less
