Tony Bath (1926–2000)

A few months ago I had taken my older copy off the shelf and was using it, then I put it down and forgot where. So when couldn't find it I bought a new copy. That's how good this book is, plus it had two sections that my older copy didn't have, a set of ancient rules and the Hyborian campaign. The Campaign advice is excellent, inspiring and a good read, I highly recommend this book.

A modest little book about creating circumstances for tabletop miniatures battles, linking them to map moves, recruiting of the armies, and other helpful hints for tabletop wargamers. it has some status as a classic, and copies command good prices on the second-hand market. The prose is clear, and the ideas are useful. I'm surprised it is out o print.
