I thought this book was a really great example of how there are both large-scale environmental issues and then smaller local ones that need to be addressed in addition to how much more input from local groups becomes important to achieving goals. In addition, this book was a great outside perspective introduction to the Nepal People's war. Great book for anyone interested in urban ecology and its politics/history.
Academic and interesting work by different authors, I think the final one on tube wells was the most interesting but I originally found this book when looking for the article on Vinh Vietnam. Very interesting to read about the future of urban rural communities in Asia.
