There are a lot of science experiment books out there, and I have used quite a few. This one I think is really a stand out in terms of quality; all the experiments we've tried work and have a clear explanation to go along with it. Plus you don't need a lot of equipment to do these as they use common objects and materials from home.
We have some of those books bragging 500 experiments but half of them don't make any sense, repeat themselves, or are in some case the explanations are totally show more wrong.
88 1/2 seems to be a sweet spot! show less

I liked this book for two reasons. One reason I liked this book was for the way it was written. Children tend to think that informational books, especially ones about science may be boring. The way the author wrote this book made science more interesting. For example, there was a part of the book where the author was talking about gravity and used the example of a guillotine cutting off the head of a doll in order to explain the concept. I think that this helps children get interested in show more science. Another reason I liked this book was for the illustrations. Although this is a chapter book, there are a lot of drawings throughout the chapters. They are done almost like a comic book style and they're just really funny. I think that this helps make science even more interesting. Overall, I think that the purpose of this book is to teach children about gravity and other aspects of physics in a fun, interesting way. show less
This is a cute but, informative book about the "Science" of the human body. It is fun to read and has drawings of a "simple nature." If you found science boring, try this book. It is lightweight and easy to stuff somewhere for quick reading!
Ik heb meerdere pagina's vluchtig gelezen. Informatiedichtheid is erg hoog. Als kind vond ik dat prachtig (en stiekem als volwassene ook) maar ik merkte dat ik enig opbouw mistte.
Volwassen-ik geeft dit 3 sterren.
Kind-ik zou dit 5 sterren geven!
