Very interesting read. He was fascinated with the people and very respectful of them, as long as they were not Jewish or nazis.
Very light on cycling. Interesting viewpoints based on history since 1945 when book was published. As they say, the future is hard to predict. Still of interest about life in the Balkans in the 30s and their unsettled history.
