A book of counting around the garden. It starts with one to ten, then counts by tens to fifty, finishing with 233. Larger than life pictures make it easy for the young reader to count the items and recognize them.

Classroom connections: ESL classrooms could use this book for teaching numbers and also teaching vocabulary about gardens (plants, worms, bees, birds etc.) Young children learning to could will like the final page where the peas are numbered 1-233 so they have help counting them show more all. Another good example to show older children before they make their own counting books. show less
This book focuses in the gardening vocabulary besides the book shows numbers that children can use when they plant or get flowers. The book is very useful for those children who are learning new words in the gardering field.
