It focuses on the many updates that have arrived on scene since the 1999 title while maintain the classics in this area. Done by a recognized expert in the genre of romance fiction, this reference tome is well indexed and divided, even adding areas such as “Chick Lit” to this volume. The text is quite strong in explaining how romance fiction came to be of such interest, and it opens the show more concept of romance fiction to what may come in future years – but one is left to personally speculate how electronic information and technologies will affect this genre. Bottom line: This is an excellent reference tool that is especially valuable to developing a collection as well as studying one in this genre. Buy it if you need this kind of assistance.
