Marvin Mudrick (1921–1986)

This is a book of literary criticism. It was compiled 31 years ago. I don't normally read literary criticism but evidently the m.o. is to pick books you don't like and eviscerate them. Using all due literary vocabulary and snideness, of course. The only writer who gets a passing grade is Jane Austen.

Unless you are getting your Phd. in literary criticism or some similar esoteric subject then this book is not worth reading.
