Great, informative book about the evolution of safety equipment and norms in the hockey world. It's almost unbelievable to think about goalies playing without masks (which is, I guess, a good thing, illustrating just how far we've come). Lots to consider about injury prevention and safety.
Good book to read if you're thinking of a visit to the Eastern Sierra. Nice photos and lots of information (I read the 1998 edition—not sure if there is anything newer) on the history, geology and plants of the Eastern Sierras.
