Started out strong as a memoir of an Italian family in Italy and emigrating to NY. Then it began to fade about page 100 when it got more into wine and less into a family story. Couldn't pick it up again, once I lost interest.
Too strong a focus on the technicalities of wine making. I expected more of a balanced focus on wine, food and family. Will be enjoyed by wine lovers.
Maybe it was the writing, in any case it didn't quite work for me. But it has inspried me to go and see if I can find any Italian wine to try.
