He received degrees from Abilene Christian College (B .A., 1938), University of Tulsa (M.A., 1949) and Southwestern Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth (B.D., 1961 and Th.D., 1963).·
He authored several books including Why I Believe in God and Other Sermons, Living Word Commentary, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Peter and Jude, and Christ Centered Sermons.
In 1955 while preaching in Tulsa, Oklahoma he drove to Bartlesville to teach Bible classes at Central Christian College.
He became Chairman of the Bible Department of Oklahoma Christian College upon his return in 1963 - Birthplace
