About the Author

Dr. Anne McBride is an animal behaviourist lecturing in the Department of Adult Continuing Education at the University of Southampton. Her PhD thesis was on aspects of the social and parental behaviour of rabbits, and during her research she had bunnies living in her own home, moving them to the show more laboratory when they were due to give birth. She has worked on animal behaviour in a variety of contexts, including zoo animals and problem pets, and is a member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors with her own consultancy.
