This is a fun little cozy featuring Hope Walker, a sassy reporter who heads back to her hometown for a family event, and stays to get the scoop on mysterious, and increasingtly dangerous, local events. The characters are lively and endearing, and Hope has a fresh, lighthearted approach that is so engaging. She's absolutely my cup of tea; I would love to join her and her friend Katie for one of their nights out featuring tacos and girl talk! Some of the best scenes involve a deliciously show more conniving villainess/mean girl from Hope's past, and of course I was rooting for Hope all the way! In addition to everything else, Hope and I are on the same page about the important things in life: "A man couldn't possibly do for me what this coffee is doing." show less
A little cozy mystery gem that I picked up by accident. The writing just draws you in and makes you like the characters. I will be reading more in this series as the author is planning to release more.
3rd in the series. The author has presented a storyline I haven't read before with clues and distractions in the cozy mystery set in a small town with strong and caring women and a hottie Sheriff.
An okay cozy mystery, the theme as been used in other renditions and mediums. The characters are the strength of this cozy.
