A really sweet, gentle story. William and his friend, Ponder the pyjama-case get a holiday by the sea with Cousin Winifred. They go on their first ferry ride, encounter a talking bird, and spend happy hours playing in rock pools once the tide has gone out. Ponder is delightfully clumsy and they get into a few scrapes!
