Osmo Thiel (1912–1989)

Bought on my first visit (1970) to Finland: An evocative picture & literary description of the (back then) least/little known Scandinavian nation. The cultural, geographical & historic reality did not disappoint: I've visited every year since then & lived & worked there - even 'Days in Finland' cannot do justice to the myriad scenic wonders on offer and cultural spectacle achieved by the resourceful, stoic & very educated Finnish peoples.
