I used to work in a predominantly Hispanic high school and I knew it would be important to have this book on hand. Being half-Mexican myself and not knowing several of these important figures was disappointing. As a teacher, I expect to have a good working knowledge to support students in their culture and to teach in a culturally responsive and respectful way.
This book highlights numerous individuals who have contributed to Latin American history in a significant way.
I highly recommend this show more book to everyone with no exceptions.
