Personal Response: This might be a good “gate-way” book of poems for young readers but I’m not sure that it will provide much substance. Many of the poems have rhyme and nice imagery but there’s little to go beyond that level. Which might end up being a good thing. Might be useful as an introduction into poetry and then bring in other poems that can help display the artistry of poems. show less
