EVERYBODY needs one of these!! I picked this up probably at a yard sale. My daughter has a rare neurological condition, so I like to see what the textbooks have to say about it. Unfortunately, it is so rare, this one didn't say ANYTHING about it. Like any medical textbook, this one takes a very clinical approach to all of its discussions, and the assumption is that the reader has knowledge of the structures of and within the brain/central nervous system. This book either is putting me to show more sleep, or making me thank GOD my child doesn't have "that". Obviously, this book is directed at neurologists, not lay-people like me. My guess is that it is an overview of the most common diseases/conditions a neurologist would encounter. Like I said, my daughter's rare condition wasn't listed. show less
