Perhaps I just didn't have the energy, but my reaction to this book wasn't positive. I can appreciate the writing to some extent, but Woodard seems to base a fair bit of the book on esoteric or personal stories that a reader can't particularly connect to--at least I can't. If you want a book of poetry that might send you to google or make you feel like you're studying moreso than pleasure reading, I'd recommend it. For the casual reader/writer who enjoys poetry, I woudn't say this is worth show more the time. show less
