One Night in Zanzibar by Evan Purcell
City Nights #33

~ WOW ~

This book appealed to all my senses.
I felt the heat, the chemistry, the fear, the longing and the desire.
I understood and cared.
I wanted to go to Zanzibar BUT not with a psychotic guy chasing me!

Having read a few of the books in this series I knew going in that I would learn about a new city and have the fun of being a bit of an onlooker as two people meet and do more than shake hands before the night ends. This book was show more exceptionally well written and left me feeling and thinking and caring and hoping that Lucy will be able to finally get rid of the man that has caused her so much pain, Malik will be able to turn over a new leaf and that evil Derik will get what he so deserves…and…that jails in Zanzibar will treat Derik horribly ;)

Thank you to the author for the copy of his work – I will gladly read more work by this author – This is my honest review.

As a rather voracious book review whose favorite genre is that of romance I can help but wonder why with all the subgenres in romance for some reason I haven’t really considered reading romance comedies.

You’ve got hot, steamy romances which when you read them, you’re in danger in possibly wetting yourself. You’ve got regencies where you can envision yourself being carried away on a white horse by a rich noble individual, like a lord, a prince or even a king. You’ve got wholesome show more inspirational westerns, like with you as a mail order bride seeking adventure to get away from the puritan eastern restraints like in Boston where as a young woman you wind up marrying for family and not for love. For too many romance lovers, love is a series business

We get so wrapped up in hoping to find a serious HEA relationship; that we wind up forgetting that at times budding relationships can be fraught with amusing behaviors of the story’s characters that are getting themselves involved in crazy shenanigans; which while making us laugh will be tugging at our heartstrings.

After reading these five wonderful stories your spirits should become lifted and you might be able to find those little amusing items you might have missed in your own relationships, which is why this anthology of romance comedies has gotten 5 STARS from this reviewer.
