There is no question that teens need their space, and the library is a place it can happen! This book sets out to define many of the challenges of having teens in a library, and discusses how to best approach ideas that will welcome them to the facility. Set up for a public library setting, much of what is contained in this book will help the school library in a middle or high school setting. However, the philosophical tones of this book lend themselves to circumspection by more than the show more librarian – they are excellent discussion topics about teens and their needs.
Bottom line: If you are new to the behavioral interests of teens, this book has lots to think about. However, if you already are well on your way with teens and their needs, skip this one. show less
