I love the characters and the series, they work well together and their lives are well drawn. Foyle continues to be a man of integrity and deals with a variety of situations in interesting and clever ways, sometimes the war effort gets in the way and you can see his frustration with politics.
And I love his driver, Samantha Stewart, played by Honeysuckle Weeks.

This series just keeps knocking it out of the park. Entertaining and engaging the characters never fail to keep me interested.
Foyle is now working with MI5 alongside Sam while her husband is running for election. These three episodes bring up post-war and cold war issues. Clever and entertaining.

3 feature length episodes. Foyle retired but is drawn back to detective work and has some complicated mysteries which require his talents to solve. The war is drawing to a close and things are very complicated with the characters.

In the first story, Plan of Attack, Samantha Stewart is now working for a map-making group and it's interesting to see how they reflected reality, when one of the mapmakers dies things are complicated even more when Foyle's replacement is killed.

Broken Souls show more involves the murder of a psychiatrist and a POW and Foyle has to investigate a friend.

All Clear has VE day looming and a complicated blame game with two deaths.

I like this series, the characters are well drawn and fun to watch. show less

Excellent British Mystery Series on DVD, love the series and shows great references to real world WWII happenings.
