A rich, full autobiography by a master wordsmith, who brings the life he lived to us all. He was born without a lot of opportunity, and his guitar lessons brought music to his soul that became a van-touring band, then King Crimson, then the miraculous meeting with Keith Emerson that finally became ELP.
Greg is honest: honest about his background, his regrets (not as many years learning guitar as he could have), his adventures on the road and off, and the battles within ELP that caused show more dissension in their ranks. Perhaps it was the time apart that taught them all what they were together; the time that Greg and Keith spent in their later years that became their two-man tour seemed to be his happiest times.
The final chapter is beautiful, and I will say that I read it first without hesitation or regret. Because we all know how 2016 went, and how our hearts broke that entire year. "Death is life" indeed. show less

The prog rock band's debut album.
1/4 (Bad).
There's just enough good music at the start of the album to let you know they can play, when they're inclined to. They are not inclined to.
