A genuinely low-quality novella.

The novella has blog-level prose at best, and there is no subtlety, nuance, or original contribution to the social commentary. The plot was generally ineffective.

To be more specific about the style and contents, it reads like a mashup between a tween Wattpad story ("This girl is actually really pretty but everyone is mean to her and tells her she's ugly, and she has special powers, but then it gets her drugged and locked up in a psych ward! She's just like show more me, I'm dark and twisted and special, too!") and the comments underneath a Reddit "Am I The Asshole" post ("Girl, your man is a walking RED FLAG you need to DUMP HIM. He's a narcissistic gaslighter and he's using weaponized incompetence to make you his perfect subservient obedient wife, and everything he says is projection because every accusation is a confession, girlie!!").

The technical execution was weak, and I genuinely struggle to see what artistic value this work brings. Therefore, failing to reach "book" status on basically every metric besides "was bound and printed", it earns the very rare achievement of my 1-star rating. show less
