The Toolbox Killers: A Deadly Rape, Torture & Murder Duo (The Serial Killer Books) (Volume 3) by Jack Rosewood
This book was a fascinating and terrifying read! I'd never heard of this serial-killing duo before, nor the hideous crimes that they committed. I shudder to imagine what their young (teenage) victims were subject to prior to their being murdered. The author did a great job of detailing the crimes as well as giving background information not only on these killers, but on a number of serial killers around the world that share some of the same traits. A frightening reminder that we cannot truly show more be safe and that it is not always obvious who to stay away from! I would have liked to have a little more information on the victims and their families. show less

True Crime Stories Volume 2: 12 Shocking True Crime Murder Cases (True Crime Anthology) by Jack Rosewood
The audio book version of True Crime Stories Vol. 2 was as interesting as the first volume which I also listened to. Twelve cases, more interesting to me than volume 1, are very well narrated so it's easy to follow. This is a great audio version to use for short transportation hops when you don't want to listen to something that lasts hours on the same topic. I received an audible copy from the author for review.

What a great crime biopic book; I could not stop listening. Mr. Rosewood discussed 12 shocking true crime murder cases from all over the world and from different decades. He starts each story by giving a background on the victim, or victims, to include the actual murder scene- the only exception is the living victim who was labeled the “Angel of Death”. He then discusses leads, suspects and in some cases highlights of the trials. He does an excellent job of delivering the facts of each show more case. It is depressing that so many of the cases he covered still remain unsolved. But, as in “Snatched from the Snow”, justice can be found for the victims even years later.
I truly enjoy this True Crime Book. I am looking forward to reading/listening to more books by Mr. Rosewood. show less

Serial Killers Rage and Horror: 8 Shocking True Crime Stories of Serial Killers and Killing Sprees (Serial Killers Anthology) (Volume 1) by Jack Rosewood
Another great book from Jack Rosewood. This one is about serial killers, internationally as well as here in the US. It was well-written and well researched, with a lot of details, including each victim, and the motives. He also included quite a bit of the psychology behind each killer. One chapter is about David Ray Parker, a sadistic sexual serial killer that includes recordings by this killer. It is bone chilling, to say the least. Some of the killers were lesser known, such as Fritz show more Haarmann (who I had never heard of myself). I found the book to be very interesting, and I read it in one sitting. I just could not put it down. show less
