Andy Marr

Hunger for Life is a tremendous debut by Andy Marr. It's a powerful story dealing with the effects that anorexia can have on a family. At times it's harrowing, but the writing is wonderfully balanced. I can't remember the last time I read a book and cared so much about the characters. And it's really funny in places too. An absolute pleasure to read, and a very important book, dealing with an illness that many have heard of, but few understand.
