A Spider-Man graphic novel, nicely illustrated by Berni Wrightson, that aptly and with some charm and verve shows Spidey's defining characteristic (that intense sense of responsibility) as he helps a 200-plus 12 year-old girl magician, locked into eternal youth by a curse, fight off her "bane". I usually don't go in much for the mystic stuff, but this is well-handled and logical - sort of.
Against Arcturus

On a newly discovered, resource-rich planet inhabited by the Sabr, a native, slightly naive alien race. The planet is the focal point of a proxy war between an Earth-New Eden alliance and an authoritarian human colony allied with the Arcturan Empire. Humans from Earth land and quickly manipulate the Sarbr into building civilization and cities to help secure their claim on the planet.

There is an eventual confrontation over control of the planet and the true nature of the show more native inhabitants.

Time Thieves

Photographer and designer Pete Mullion wakes up one day in his garage with a 12-day gap in his memory. He tries to piece together what happened with the help of his wife and discovers being surveilled by mysterious, sinister robotic humanoids. As Pete evades his pursuers, he starts to develop telepathic abilities.

Through his newfound psychic powers, he realizes the robots are being mentally controlled by an unseen alien force. The aliens reveal their motives, leaving Pete with a major existential decision to make.
