Swedish is great, but not readable therefore has to be made up for by the English at the back AND the pretty pictures of which this book has many.

A catalouge over male fashion, with lots of interesting pictures. Most of these extant garments are Swedish, but with loans from Denmark and Germany. Those familiar with Janet Arnold may find it interesting that the Sture-clothes from the 16th century taht she describes are presented here.

Beautiful detail photos of embroidery...who cares if it's all men's wear!

Interesting about what you wore at the Swedish court, 18th century and onwards. Gustaf III's national costume is something unique.
