As a kid, George (Babe Ruth) had a hard life, and he knew nothing of baseball! His family couldn't take care of him, so he went to St. Mary's school for boys where he learned to play ball. There, a minister taught him how to play ball. I liked this book because the author wrote with vivid detail about his early life. It was amazing he hit so many home runs! I learned he hit a legendary home run that broke the record for home runs.
