Roederer

Very entertaining read. Roederer was Bonaparte's publicist and Volney's fellow deputy in the first National Assembly. Roederer had an excellent ear for dialogue and his relation of various conversations is almost literary. Untold numbers of historians make reference to Roederer's Memoires. Several direct references to Volney and his relationship with Bonaparte. Highly recommended if you can find it.
