My friend and colleague wrote this books as part of the series "Living Out: Gay and Lesbian Autobiographies," published by the University of Wisconsin. It's a pretty friendly and accessible account of a country that is, let's face it, in decline, though not without possibility for moral redemption and economic recovery. A gently insightful, cozy read if you love America and it's breaking your heart.
