Note: This review will only be based on the writes of Da'Kharta Rising and Synful Desire.

Have you ever perceived a particular authors' works in one way but then you see material which expands your thinking? This is how I felt after reading the works by these two authors.

Da'Kharta Rising isn't just a person who writes about tragedy. There is a system behind the darkness and the mystery she strives to convey. The twists in each story goes from "What did I just read" in Unrest to "Oh my God!" show more in Omitted to "It's a mystery even to me" in The Kutters. The Kutters I couldn't get enough of ... a very strong write from start to finish.

I always predicted that Synful Desire has more to her arsenal than just erotica. She is a flashlight on the quirks of connection. This is not to say that the erotic components aren't blushworthy but that there is a thickness of purpose you will miss if all you see is the sexual moments. With Derailed Endurance, the ending leaves more questions than answers, and it was terrific to know that there will be a more detailed "Derailed". I confess to not quite knowing what to make of Final Prep to Happiness although I shared the excitement of the main character. FAN-tasy Island reminded me of the same story telling beat as Delectable Things but the difference is that "Island" has trinkets of surprise that sneak up on you while dabbling with comedy here and there.

This is a strong showing by these two ladies and work I highly recommend, even if I were not part of the collection. Both are well on their way to blossoming beyond their original genres.

The thing I like the most about this book is the incorporation of the alphabet to some of the principles that are stated. No topic is off limits as everything from government failures to erotica are addressed. If you want a poetry read that serves as a snapshot of various issues, Spaded Truths serves as the perfect alphabet soup.
This isn't a review, but I wanted to thank everyone for checking out the book and sharing their thoughts.
