Helen Ewan's brief Christian life of eight years was filled with the fragrance and glory of God. It was filled with blessings to both saint and sinner. Today, many years after her translation, thousands still are being inspired and challenged through her life.

"It is our sincere and profound conviction that one of the main contributing factors to the low standard of spirituality in our churches today is the failure of the Church to preach and teach a biblical salvation to the lost and dying.

Some of what Stewart says seems prophetic of our modern day. If it was that bad back them, how much worse must things be today! Even churches that preach the right Gospel sometimes err in cheapening the presentation (e.g., turning evangelism into a carnival). For me, the only downside to this book are some bad Bible translations used sometimes, and Stewart's Calvinist background.
