The dragons in this romantic sci-fi adventure are not your ordinary medieval dragons that wait sleepily by castle ruins protecting lost treasures or roaming villages devouring young maidens. The “weredragons” are ancient alien beasts who can turn into men at night and whose race is dying due to the lack of females. They prefer to live alone but are concerned for their future and the lack of progeny. On earth there are attractive young human women with dragon blood who might be suitable show more mates but they must first pass three tests the last of which can be fatal. In this drama we see the Weredragons snatching their possible mates. The first test is one of passion and these dragons are adept at stirring sexual tension. The second is one of gall that comes from the person and the third is to control the fire during the transformation process of the mate. All mates to be must consent because there is no return. The author leads us ably through the Weredragons’ lair and kingdoms and mating conventions with high action, vivid descriptions, emotion and romance. The plot is controlled and not wearisome with some portions only for adults. A good read for a dreary weekend. show less

I enjoyed my free copy of this book. Here is my honest review: keep writing. I found the premise interesting. I thought the main character was daring. But, I kept wanting more descriptions of the world ship, more tension between the brothers to serve up a massive love triangle, and more otherworldly intrigue between the different species. The plot moved along smoothly and it was peppered with not too much in-your-face sensuality. Good, but I have faith that as she develops, greatness will show more come. I can tell. show less

“Human Bride” is a set of three novellas that focus on Colette and her upcoming marriage to an alien named Tyen. I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately I couldn't get into it. This book dragged and didn't really seem to go anywhere. I was hoping for more of a sci-fi romance book but instead got insta love and very little else. Nothing is really explained or explored and the book just seems to end abruptly. I also did not connect with Colette, I found her to be rather show more annoying most of the time and actually wished that Tyen had ended up with someone else. I won this book on Library Thing and did not receive any compensation for my review. show less

This is an explicitly erotic adult science fiction with a fast acting plot. Not my normal read but well done never the less. Creative imagination, feminine insight and romantic outcomes are all in one plot. The author leads you on just far enough. Not recommended for children's bedtimes stories.
