- Prof. dr. LEON VOET was ereconservator van het Museum Plantin-Moretus. Hij studeerde na zijn humaniora in het Koninklijk Atheneum te Gent, geschiedenis aan de Rijksuniversiteit Gent. Op 17 juli 1941 behaalde hij er met de grootste onderscheiding het diploma van licentiaat in de Wijsbegeerte en Letteren (groep Geschiedenis) met een verhandeling over het ‘domein’ van de graven van Vlaanderen.
